SpitFireHipHop Reaches Deal with Unified Product Distribution
SpitFireHipHop has reached a deal with global distribution company Unified Product Distribution (Unified). The deal allows SpitFireHipHop (SFHH) to provide an “open door” to its selected hip-hop artists and genre affiliates. It gives their artists immediate access to major label level global music/video services with SonyOrchard, and other powerful technology channels that also include film/TV/podcast distribution.
Unified’s Principal, Chieva Lee stated, “this move is monumental in preserving the hip-hop music genre, by giving hip-hop artists access to the same power tools as mainstream music genres.”
Jimy “42” Lincoln, founder of SpitFireHipHop, said, “We sought to continue our mission of providing mechanisms for unparalleled exposure opportunities for the growth of hip-hop. This situation gives us the power and controls to make some significant things happen in this space.”
The program will use Unified’s impending UCAT platform as the Launchpad for the SpitFireHipHop initiatives for artists and their existing structure for labels deemed ready by SFHH.
