LeBron James & Isaiah Stewart Both Suspended for Bloody Fight on Court
Lakers small forward LeBron James and Pistons power forward Isaiah Stewart have both been suspended by the league on Monday for their bloody altercation that took place the the day before. LeBron has been suspended for one game, while Stewart received two. This is the first time that LeBron has been suspended in his entire 19-year career.
LeBron will miss Tuesday’s game vs. the Knicks at MSG and Stewart will miss Tuesday’s home game vs. the Heat and Wednesday’s road game vs. the Bucks.
Stewart was suspended for what the NBA viewed as “escalating an on-court altercation by repeatedly and aggressively pursuing” James “in an unsportsmanlike manner”. James was suspended “for recklessly hitting Stewart in the face and initiating an on-court altercation”.
The Lakers and Pistons will meet again on Sunday in L.A. at the Staples Center.
